JACK & JULIA | CHRISTMAS MICRO-WEDDING IN MATTOON IL
Snow filled every inch of central Illinois, but nothing could stop the plans made for their perfect wedding day.
When Julia originally booked me for their wedding, she had planned for a warm May wedding celebration in a family members backyard. It was clear that intentionality was important from the start. Julia expressed her love for a garden party theme, but nothing flashy- and rather something out of "The Notebook".
After a few months passed, I was presented with the idea of a Christmas Wedding and what my availability would be. It was decided almost instantly, and Julias dream of an intimate, Christmas, wedding day was set! A perfect pivot for a couple so in love.
Upon arrival, the bridesmaids laughed and danced through the halls and was a perfect depiction of girlhood. Julia didn't have bridesmaids, but all of her best women, friends, family, and mentors joined her to prepare for the ceremony. Moments were shared between Julia, her sister, and her mom while putting the finishing touches for Julias timeless bridal look. Jack arrived moments after Julias finishing touches, and opted for a private moment to get ready.
Soon after, the sanctuary filled with all of Jack & Julias closest people, the ceremony began, and Jack witnessed his bride for the first time that day, walking toward him down the aisle. Emotions of Joy and Love were so prominent within the church. The ceremony was something out of a Hallmark movie, and ended with an iconic dip kiss down the aisle!
Following the ceremony, Jack & Julia braved the frigid weather for the most magical, snow covered bridals.
On the snowiest day of the year, Jack & Julia became The Spencer's and it was magical, intimate, and intentional - and a wedding that was a true Joy to document.
